A Note from BillCirque du Soleil invited me to join the team as they experimented with connecting Broadway musical song, dance, and comedy with the traditional world of Cirque for the very first time.
I came on board as Assistant Artistic Director and, in their words, the “Broadway coach,” working with incredible Broadway talent.
I was invited into the world that David Shiner was building, to collaborate with an international team of astonishing artists.
I learned one of the greatest dramaturgical lessons of my career at Cirque: “the good feeling”—a practice of listening to the vibrations of a piece in three dimensions.
